Community Housing & Supportive Living
Anka Behavioral Health, Inc. operates programs for persons in need of housing solutions and support services. Anka is unique among not-for-profits in that it has its own Housing Office directed by a licensed real estate broker and staffed by property professionals.
Community Housing includes both permanent and transitional group living environments within the community.
Permanent Housing provides affordable living environments that are safe and secure for persons that have achieved a level of functioning and independence that allows them to be successful within the community.
Transitional Supportive Housing combines shorter term housing opportunities to both individuals and families needing supportive services: case management coupled with financial, life skills, vocational counseling and training as well as access to health benefits and services. The length of stay for transitional supportive housing service is typically 6-18 months. During this time services are provided by case managers who are on call to the client and his/her family 24 hours a day, 7days a week.
