Mental Health

Our mental health services team uses a Psycho Social Rehabilitation Model in three different modalities:

1  Crisis Residential
Crisis Residential facilities are licensed, home-like settings within the community. Anka’s®  highly skilled professional staff provide clinical services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; direct care medical provided by a staff psychiatrist.  This provides both clients and communities with an efficient and cost effective alternative to hospitalization. The length of stay can range from 5 to 30 days.

2  Transitional Residential
Transitional Residential facilities are home-like settings within the community providing professional staff services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Transitional Residential programs are designed to meet an array of special needs. Program services are provided to both young adults and adults who are mentally ill; to adults who are mentally ill and have become involved in the criminal justice system; to children and adults who have a developmental disability; to those who have substance abuse and other drug-related issues; and to those single individuals and families who are homeless and have one or more of the disabilities listed above.  The length of stay in Transitional Residential housing can be anywhere from 1 to 18 months.

3  Outpatient

Anka® delivers an array of outpatient services utilizing best practice treatment modalities, which include the “Clubhouse Model”, “Wrap Around” case management and Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) services.

Developmentally Disabled

Staff in our group homes work one-on-one with both children and adults with developmental disabilities. Supported in working through their emotional and behavioral challenges, residents learn skills that allow them to interact successfully with others. These residential programs serve no more than four people in each home and have an exceptionally high staffing ratio. Most children and adults are expected to develop skills that allow them to move to a lower level of care after 90-180 days of Anka® services.
For some developmentally disabled adults, these programs may become permanent homes.
